It used to be quite common to see old army huts used for various purposes, but I wonder how many are still around today? This is the library at Ivanhoe East State School, housed in an old army hut.
If you went to Ivanhoe East State School, do you remember this building?
I love the television -probably black and white- on the stand at the back of the room!
This is one of thousands of negatives of photos taken by the Publications Branch of the Education Department between 1950 and 1967. They have been digitized and are available online through the Public Records Office VPRS 14517/P0001/35, N487
