Free Talk: John Noack: “ Mollison’s Station and Robson’s House in early Heidelberg”

Prior to the 1838 land auction held in Sydney, that attracted gentleman speculators and large landholders to the Port Phillip District, there were overlanders and squatters who established small holdings in Heidelberg. John Noack will talk about this often-overlooked aspect of early European settlement in the area.

Free Talk: Greg de Moore “John Cade, Lithium and the Taming of Bi-Polar Disorder”

Hear author Greg de Moore talk about the story of lithium – the salt of the earth, which tamed one of the most crippling of human mental diseases – and the story of the Australian doctor who discovered its secret.
